A Safe, Moderated Community
<p>At Northstowe Youth Hive, safeguarding is our number one priority. We believe that every young person deserves a safe space to explore their potential, connect with local opportunities, and build confidence.</p><p>Unlike traditional social media networks, the Youth Hive is a closed platform: there are no unmoderated public chatrooms, direct messaging between members is disabled, and profile details are kept completely private.</p>
Vetted Local Partners Only
<p>Every event, club, volunteering placement, and article on the platform is posted by an approved local partner. These are vetted charities, community groups, and public organizations registered in Northstowe and surrounding areas.</p><p>We verify each partner’s credentials and safeguard policies before granting them access to post on the Hive, ensuring that your child only interacts with trusted, legitimate local opportunities.</p>
Verifiable Parental Consent & GDPR
<p>Under UK privacy laws, we require explicit parental consent before processing any data for children under 13. When a child under 13 registers, we email their parent/guardian a secure link to review and approve their registration.</p><p>Parents have full visibility and control: you can add emergency contact details, review the data your child shares, or request account deactivation at any time.
